Sensory Integration Equipment
|
Sensory Integration Equipment, such as weighted vests, therapy balls and bouncy chairs, allows students with multiple challenges to better regulate input from their environment in order to more fully concentrate and achieve greater success in their learning tasks.
Previously, students needing a break were brought out into the hallway. Now, however, students using sensory equipment learn to regulate their need for sensory input when concentrating on a specific task or instruction.
